Divisions
Baseball - Pee Wees (league age 6-8) - provides a great introduction the game of baseball for younger players. A pitching machine, required fielding rotations, and modified rules are used to promote parity while ensuring a fun and competitive atmosphere. This division is intended for players in grades K5 through 2nd grade.
Baseball - Minors (league age 9 and 10) - introduces player pitching, extra-base hits, and limited stolen bases as players continue to develop their baseball skills. This division is intended for players in 3rd and 4th grade.
Baseball - Majors (league age 11 and 12) - allows players to further develop their baseball skill with a more competitive baseball environment and few rule restrictions. This division is intended for players in 5th and 6th grade.
Baseball - Intermediates (league age 13) - plays on a larger diamond, with 70 foot base paths and 50 foot pitching distances in order to transition players to a full-sized baseball diamond. This division is intended for players in 7th grade.
Baseball - Juniors (league age 14) - plays on a full-sized diamond and offers the traditional baseball experience to our players. This division is intended for players in 8th grade.
Baseball - Challengers - established by Little League in 1989 as a separate division to enable boys and girls with physical and intellectual disabilities, ages 4-18, or up to age 22 if still enrolled in high school, to enjoy the game of baseball.
Softball - Pee Wees (league age 6-8) - NEW TO WFBLL IN 2026! provides a great introduction the game of softball for younger players. Softball - Minors (league age 9 and 10) - introduces player pitching and a way to develop additional softball skills. This division in intended for players in 3rd and 4th grade.
Determining League Age
The League Age for a Little League baseball player is the actual age of a child on August 31 of the applicable season year. A league age calculator can be found HERE.
